The Torre di Canicarao Agritourism is a farm estate run by the Cooperativa Sociale San Giovanni Battista-Onlus. The Cooperative was established in Ragusa in 1994 to offer employment to disadvantaged persons, based on the values of solidarity and cooperation.
Torre di Canicarao boasts a hillside location, just a few kilometres from Comiso. The building, whose original nucleus dates back to 1400, overlooked the Canicarao stronghold, once renowned for its “Barbatelle” (graft vine) production. Today Torre di Canicarao is an Agritourism with a social and environmental conscience, offering sustainable rural tourism and creating opportunities for employment and social integration.
